Through my endeavors and ambition, I am currently looking for a summer internship in communications, public relations, social media and marketing. I am pursuing a degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations at East Carolina University. My  competence in communication has shaped this skill set into a talent that can be displayed through my experience and performance.

If I could describe myself in 5 words: Ambitious, Innovative, Inspired, Motivated and Passionate. Without those 5 attributes, I would not be the person I am today. I identify with each of those words because they are all characteristics that influence me to achieve my goals. Something that sets me apart from others is that I have a creative and  innovative thought pattern that is continuously inventing new ways to find solutions. My mindset inspires and motivates me to achieve my goals; yet, passion is the largest driving force behind how I will accomplish my goals.

The skills and experience that I have developed range across the spectrum. While juggling my current internship, being a full time student and having a part time job I have mastered time-management in a fast-paced environment.

Through my course work and internship, I have learned how to use Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I practice typography and design techniques while planning monthly calendars using illustrator for my internship. I have designed “Tweet Sheets” to help plan tweets in advance and I regularly post on Instagram and Facebook. I have used a Nikon to take pictures at different club sports games. I am certified and trained to design websites and blogs through WordPress. I have generated basic HTML animations as well.

As a Panhellenic Delegate for ZTA, I regularly planned events and have strong eye for detail and brainstorming. Planning events is enjoyable and I love thinking outside of the box for new ideas. I assisted with building and maintaining relationships in and outside the Panhellenic community. Using my network I helped raise awareness and assist in fundraising for ZTA’s philanthropy of Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. My executive council and I formed a communication Crisis plan together. I presented information in front of a 200 person chapter once a week. To stay organized I created excel sheets to keep members and events orderly.

I am extremely optimistic and will continue to persevere until I achieve my goals.

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”- Steve Jobs
